Amanda Anisimova Shocks Aryna Sabalenka at Wimbledon 2025

Amanda Anisimova reached her first Wimbledon final after defeating world number one Aryna Sabalenka in a close match. Anisimova, the 13th seed, won 6-4 4-6 6-4 on Centre Court. She saved 11 out of 14 break points during the two-hour and 35-minute match. Anisimova will play in her first Grand Slam final after converting her fourth match point.

Anisimova expressed disbelief at her victory, saying, "This doesn't feel real, I was absolutely dying out there." She described reaching the Wimbledon final as incredibly special. Sabalenka, who lost in two previous major finals this year, will not compete in the final. Anisimova will face the winner of the semi-final between Iga Swiatek and Belinda Bencic.

The Wimbledon final will take place on Saturday.
