Antony seals €100m deal with Manchester United

Manchester United has finalized a deal with Ajax for winger Antony, worth up to €100m. The agreement includes a guaranteed €95m payment and €5m in add-ons, pending medical checks, personal terms, and international clearance.

The 22-year-old player will not be available for Manchester United's upcoming match against Leicester City as he awaits his visa. Antony is set to reunite with Erik ten Hag and is undergoing medical examinations at United's training ground.

Antony's signing makes him the second most expensive acquisition in Manchester United's history, following Paul Pogba's arrival in 2016. The club is also close to securing a loan deal for Newcastle United goalkeeper Martin Dubravka, as they finalize their summer squad.

The winger's transfer has been a priority for Ten Hag, with negotiations progressing after Antony expressed his desire to leave Ajax. The potential €100m fee brings Manchester United's summer spending to over £225m, the highest since 2019.
