
Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga Win at 2025 MTV VMAs
Lady Gaga won Artist of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), while Ariana Grande received a top award at the event held at New York's UBS Arena.
The 2025 VMAs, hosted by LL Cool J, featured performances by various artists, including Lady Gaga, Jelly Roll, Sabrina Carpenter, Tate McRae, Alex Warren, Lola Young, Doja Cat, and Post Malone.
A special tribute to late Black Sabbath legend Ozzy Osbourne was performed by Yungblud, Joe Perry, Steven Tyler, and Nuno Bettencourt. Mariah Carey, Busta Rhymes, and Ricky Martin were also honored with special awards.
Lady Gaga led with 12 nominations, followed by Bruno Mars and Lamar. Taylor Swift, nominated for Artist of the Year, was up against Beyoncé, Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, Lamar, Morgan Wallen, and The Weeknd. Lady Gaga won the award.
Winners were determined by fan votes. Ariana Grande won the award for "brighter days ahead." Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars won for "Die with a Smile." Tate McRae won for "Just Keep Watching (From F1: the Movie)." Other winners included ROSÉ & Bruno Mars, and LISA ft. Doja Cat & RAYE.
