Arsenal in Talks for Madueke; Everton Signs £27m Striker

Arsenal is in talks with Chelsea to sign Noni Madueke. The winger has agreed to personal terms and is likely to move to the Emirates Stadium. Chelsea, after winning the Conference League, decided to sell Madueke. The 23-year-old has played a minor role in the Club World Cup and is expected to benefit from a change. Arsenal sees Madueke as a key target to enhance their flank options. Negotiations are ongoing, with Arsenal aiming for a lower fee based on previous transfers.

Madueke's appeal lies in his speed and versatility on both flanks. He could provide cover for Bukayo Saka and offer a left-footed option. With 13 goals and seven assists in 67 Premier League appearances, he is a valuable addition. Arsenal's interest in Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze is not expected to diminish.

Enzo Maresca has praised Madueke, but there are concerns at Chelsea about his progress. Despite playing mainly on the right, he is likely to have limited opportunities next season. Chelsea has bolstered its wide options with new signings, potentially leading to Madueke's departure. Bournemouth has bid £25m for Djordje Petrovic, who is also sought after by Sunderland.

Everton has secured Thierno Barry from Villarreal for around £27m. The 6ft 5in striker, part of France's Under-21 squad, scored 11 goals in La Liga last season. Barry, Moyes's second summer signing, aims to follow in the footsteps of former Everton players Rooney and Lukaku. Chemsdine Talbi, a Belgian winger, has joined Sunderland from Club Brugge for approximately £19.5m, becoming their fifth summer signing.
