Arsenal's Arteta Worried as Saka Injured Before Anfield Trip

Bukayo Saka sustained an injury in the 53rd minute during Arsenal's match against Leeds on Saturday. The injury occurred shortly after Leeds scored their third goal. Saka, who had scored Arsenal's second goal, had to be replaced and left the field with the help of medical staff. This injury is a concern for Arsenal's manager, Mikel Arteta, especially with their upcoming game against Liverpool.

Saka, who missed a significant part of last season due to a hamstring injury, was replaced by Leandro Trossard. The 23-year-old had previously undergone surgery for a hamstring tear in December and was out of play until April. Arteta will be monitoring Saka's fitness closely given his importance to the team.

In addition to Saka's injury, Arsenal also saw their captain, Martin Odegaard, being substituted due to injury during the same match. The team's newest signing, Eberechi Eze, made an appearance and was welcomed by fans after joining from Crystal Palace. Eze's signing marks Arsenal's seventh acquisition of the summer, with the club's spending reaching £250 million.

Arteta expressed concern over the injuries to Saka and Odegaard, stating that both incidents were unfortunate. Odegaard felt discomfort in his shoulder, while Saka experienced hamstring trouble. The severity of these injuries will be assessed further by medical professionals. Arsenal will face Premier League champions Liverpool in their next match on Sunday, August 31.
