Bill Maher: Christians' Slaughter in Nigeria Overlooked without Jewish Involvement

Bill Maher Highlights Lack of Coverage on Christian Killings in Nigeria

During a recent episode of "Real Time," host Bill Maher pointed out the lack of attention given to the killing of Christians in Nigeria by Islamist groups, suggesting it is being ignored because "the Jews aren't involved." Republican Rep. Nancy Mace acknowledged the media's oversight on this issue and thanked Maher for shedding light on it.

Maher criticized the media for neglecting the situation in Nigeria, where Boko Haram, an Islamist group, is targeting the Christian population on a large scale. He emphasized the severity of the crisis, stating that over 100,000 Christians have been killed since 2009, with thousands of churches destroyed. Maher compared the situation to the conflict in Gaza, highlighting the magnitude of the genocide attempt in Nigeria.

According to Open Doors, a global Christian charity, the crisis in sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in Nigeria, poses a significant threat to peace and stability in the region. The organization reported that around 150,000 people have died in Jihadist violence over the past decade, with millions of Christians displaced from their homes.

Nigeria has been identified as one of the most perilous countries for Christians, with more Christians killed for their faith in Nigeria than in any other part of the world. The White House has confirmed its collaboration with the State Department to address the violence and promote stability in the region.
