BTS to Launch Massive World Tour with New Album in 2026
Korean pop group BTS is reportedly preparing for a comeback in 2026 with a new album and a world tour. This comeback follows the completion of mandatory military service by all band members.
The seven-member South Korean group, consisting of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook, has been working on their first group album in six years. The album is scheduled for release at the end of March 2026, followed by a world tour of approximately 65 shows, including over 30 in North America.
In July, BTS confirmed plans for a spring comeback album during a livestream on the fan platform WeVerse. This marks the first time since September 2022 that all seven members have appeared together, announcing their hiatus as a group to focus on solo activities.
The upcoming album will be BTS's first since the 2022 anthology Proof and the 2020 studio album Be. The band's last performance together was in October 2022 in Busan before their management company, BigHit Music, announced their military service obligations.
BTS debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment, gaining recognition for their self-produced music and social commentary. Their success includes the 2016 album Wings and the 2017 single "DNA," which made history as the first Korean boy band track to enter the US Billboard Hot 100.
Starting in late 2022, BTS members began fulfilling South Korea's mandatory military service, with Jin, J-Hope, Suga, and the remaining members enlisting at different times. By June 2025, all members had completed their military duties.
During their hiatus, band members pursued solo projects, with Jin releasing two solo albums and embarking on a solo tour across Asia, North America, and Europe. A spokesperson from BTS's label, Hybe, stated that details about the new album and world tour are yet to be confirmed.
