Canadian cities cancel MAGA singer's shows over safety concerns

Cities in Canada have canceled tour performances by Sean Feucht, a right-wing Christian musician connected to the Trump administration and the Republican Party. The cancellations, including in Quebec City, were due to public safety concerns and community protests.

Quebec City mentioned that the contract for Feucht's show did not disclose his controversial reputation, leading to the cancellation of his planned performance at the ExpoCité venue. Performances in Halifax, Charlottetown, and Moncton were also canceled.

In total, six performances were canceled as Feucht faced criticism from local groups and some elected officials. Concerns about safety were cited by other localities, including Parks Canada, which canceled a show at the York Redoubt historic site.

Feucht expressed on social media that he felt persecuted for his religious and political beliefs. He mentioned facing death threats and criticized the opposition to his tour, linking it to restrictions on worship services during the Covid pandemic. Feucht has been known for flouting Covid guidelines and making controversial statements in the past.
