Charlie Kirk's Wife Shared Uplifting Psalm Before His Tragic Death

Influential right-wing activist Charlie Kirk was shot and killed during a presentation at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. The Turning Point USA founder was speaking when a single shot struck him in the neck, leading to his death at a nearby hospital. President Donald Trump announced Kirk's passing on Truth Social, expressing condolences to Kirk's wife, Erika, and family.

Erika Kirk, Charlie's wife, had posted a Bible verse about seeking help during difficult times just hours before the shooting. She shared Psalm 46:1 on social media, where mourners have since offered tributes and condolences. The couple, who married in 2021, have two young children together.

A person of interest has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting, according to Utah Governor Spencer Cox. The alleged shooter reportedly targeted Kirk from a campus building about 200 yards away. It remains unclear if Erika Kirk was present during the event, which was part of an American Comeback Tour visiting college campuses.

Charlie and Erika Kirk, known for sharing religious beliefs on social media, have kept their children's identities private. Erika has been supportive of Charlie at Turning Point USA events, where she has spoken and interacted with audiences. The couple has attended various events together, including Trump's inauguration in Washington, D.C., earlier this year.
