Chiefs Star Travis Kelce Yells at Coach Reid in Sideline Clash

Travis Kelce was involved in a heated argument with his head coach Andy Reid during a game against the New York Giants. This incident echoed a clash they had 18 months earlier at the Super Bowl in Las Vegas.

As Kelce left the field after a mistake, Reid yelled at him. Instead of ignoring it, Kelce yelled back. The situation escalated when Reid bumped into Kelce during the exchange of words at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

This event resembled a previous incident at the Super Bowl in February 2024 when Kelce's actions caused Reid to stumble. Unlike the previous incident, Kelce managed to calm down without needing help from his teammates this time.

During the game, Kelce had a rough start with only two catches for four yards. The Chiefs struggled against the winless New York Giants, settling for field goals before eventually leading 9-6 at halftime.

Reid downplayed the confrontation with Kelce, saying, "That's okay, we need some juice... so that's good!" as he walked off the field for halftime. Despite his positive outlook, fans expressed concerns on social media about the team's performance and the incident.

The Chiefs managed to secure a 22-9 victory, marking their first win of the season. Kelce's performance was below expectations, with four receptions for 26 yards.

Kelce and Reid's clash came as the Chiefs aimed to bounce back from two consecutive losses at the start of the season. The team had lost to the Los Angeles Chargers and the Philadelphia Eagles in previous games.

Taylor Swift, Kelce's fiancée, who witnessed their previous sideline clash, did not attend the game this time due to safety concerns. Swift had attended the Chiefs' game the week before behind a bulletproof screen but opted to skip this one.
