Cowboys trade for Kenny Clark: Stats, contract details
The Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers have agreed to a trade involving Micah Parsons. Parsons, a 26-year-old pass rusher with 52.5 sacks in four seasons with the Cowboys, will be sent to the Packers. In return, Dallas will receive two future draft picks along with veteran defensive lineman Kenny Clark.
Kenny Clark, a veteran defensive tackle, spent nine seasons with the Packers after being a first-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. He has been selected for the Pro Bowl three times and has recorded 35 sacks in 140 games with Green Bay. In 2024, Clark played 17 games, registering 37 tackles, one sack, two fumble recoveries, and three pass defenses. He recently signed a three-year, $64 million contract extension with the Packers, tying him to Dallas through the 2027 NFL season.
Clark's contract details show that he will count $2.3 million against Dallas' salary cap in 2025, with his cap hit increasing to $21.5 million and $20 million in 2026 and 2027, respectively. However, the Cowboys will not owe him any guaranteed money in those seasons, meaning Clark will be playing on a year-to-year basis unless a contract restructuring occurs.
Currently 29 years old, Clark will turn 30 on Oct. 4, 2025, shortly after the Cowboys play against the Packers at AT&T Stadium.
