Crowds Flood Penn State vs. Oregon Game for 'FREEDOM' Shirt
Conservative influencer Benny Johnson informed Fox News host Will Cain that Turning Point USA would have a significant presence at the Oregon-Penn State game due to Charlie Kirk's planned attendance.
Johnson shared a video on Saturday showing a large crowd waiting in line to get a Charlie Kirk "FREEDOM" t-shirt at Penn State's Beaver Stadium parking lot. The game was between Penn State and Oregon, Kirk's favorite football team.
The footage captured the line stretching across multiple sections of the parking lot, with the crowd cheering as Johnson highlighted its length. A loud "USA!" chant erupted at one point.
Turning Point USA (TPUSA) announced that they would give away 5,000 of the T-shirts to fans attending the Oregon vs. Penn State game at Beaver Stadium in University Park, Pa., on Saturday.
Kirk had worn the iconic shirt on Sept. 10 at a Utah Valley University event before tragically being killed by a gunshot. TPUSA pledged to carry on Kirk's mission.
Johnson stated on "Will Cain Country" that in honor of Kirk, TPUSA would continue fighting cultural battles, particularly in college football, a passion of Kirk's. TPUSA planned to distribute 5,000 Charlie Kirk freedom shirts at the Penn State vs. Oregon game.
Oregon football Head Coach Dan Lanning expressed condolences to Kirk's family after his team's recent victory over Northwestern. Lanning emphasized the importance of unity and love amidst differences, referencing the positive atmosphere in his team's locker room.
Lanning also condemned the violence in the country and expressed sadness over Kirk's death, highlighting the need for people to come together and value life. He hoped that others could learn from the unity displayed in his team's diverse locker room.
