Crystal Palace includes Eze and Guehi to play Chelsea

Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi played for Crystal Palace in their Premier League match against Chelsea despite ongoing talks with Tottenham and Liverpool, respectively. Both players have remaining time on their contracts with Eze having two years left and Guehi one year.

Discussions for potential transfers for Eze and Guehi are at an advanced stage and will resume after the game. Palace manager Oliver Glasner confirmed that both players trained well throughout the week and had no reason not to start.

Tottenham is reportedly progressing in their efforts to sign Eze, who has an expired release clause in his contract valued at £60m initially, with additional add-ons. Negotiations are said to be slightly below the total release figure.

Similarly, talks are ongoing between Palace and Liverpool for Guehi, with the club looking to avoid losing him for free when his contract ends. Palace is seeking around £40m for the centre-back, while Liverpool aims to pay less than that amount.
