Jo Coburn Bids BBC Politics Live Farewell After 28 Years

Politics Live presenter Jo Coburn has departed the BBC after 28 years of service. The 57-year-old had fronted the daily weekday politics show since its inception in 2018.

Her final broadcast aired on Thursday, and viewers expressed their sadness at her departure. Many took to social media to express their appreciation for her work.

"Will be sad to see @Jo_Coburn leave #politicslive," one viewer wrote. "She’s done a fantastic job in an often challenging role."

During the show, Coburn expressed gratitude for the support of colleagues, guests, and viewers. She also mentioned that the show would not be possible without the contributions of journalists, commentators, and book promoters.

"It's been a brilliant experience," she said. "I will miss it more than I can say."

Coburn's colleague and lead director, Janet McAllen, also tweeted a farewell message, wishing her well in her future endeavors.
