Denise Richards Accuses Estranged Husband of Domestic Violence

Denise Richards recently filed for a temporary domestic violence restraining order against her estranged second husband, Aaron Phypers. In legal documents, Richards detailed incidents where Phypers allegedly abused her due to his paranoia. She claimed that Phypers became paranoid about listening devices in potted plants he brought into his clinic in Malibu in 2022, leading to physical violence against her.

Richards stated that during one incident in January 2022, Phypers struck her in the eye with his palm while accusing her of being untruthful. She also accused him of uploading her private messages onto his laptop without permission. Richards has requested the return of her electronic devices and demanded that Phypers refrain from using or disclosing their contents.

The former couple, who filed for divorce on July 7 after six years of marriage, have been involved in a tumultuous legal battle. Richards has accused Phypers of threatening her, causing her injuries, and engaging in abusive behavior. She has requested financial support, legal expenses coverage, and Phypers' participation in a batterer intervention program.

As part of the restraining order, Phypers must stay away from Richards and her properties until their court appearance in August. The legal proceedings shed light on the alleged abuse Richards endured during her marriage to Phypers. The couple's divorce comes after a period of dating and marriage following Phypers' previous divorce from Nicollette Sheridan.

Richards, known for her acting career, is set to appear in an upcoming horror film premiering in August. The legal battle between Richards and Phypers continues as they navigate the complexities of their divorce and the allegations of domestic violence.
