Devon Sawa, known for his role in Final Destination, recently disclosed that he was surprised to find himself in the fifth installment of the horror series during its premiere. Sawa, who played Alex Browning in the original 2000 film, appeared in Final Destination 5 through a mix of old and new footage.

During an interview on the Inside of You podcast with Michael Rosenbaum, Sawa shared his experience of being invited to the sequel's premiere without prior knowledge of his involvement in the movie. He mentioned that a combination of old and new scenes featuring him was used, and he was taken aback to see himself on screen.

Sawa hinted at potential financial compensation for his appearance in the film, mentioning contractual agreements regarding the use of stock footage. Despite his initial lack of awareness, he speculated that keeping him uninformed may have been a strategy to prevent spoilers from leaking.

While Sawa previously mentioned not being paid for his role in Final Destination 5 in a now-deleted tweet, he expressed his enthusiasm for the franchise and the upcoming sixth film, Final Destination: Bloodlines, slated for release next year.
