Dolly Parton's Sister Seeks Prayers Amid Concert Delays
Country music icon Dolly Parton's sister, Freida Parton, requested prayers for Dolly as she announced the postponement of her Las Vegas concerts due to medical procedures. Freida shared on Facebook that Dolly had not been feeling well recently and asked for prayers from fans worldwide.
Dolly Parton informed her fans on September 28 that she would need to delay her upcoming Las Vegas concerts to undergo necessary medical procedures. She mentioned facing health challenges and the need for some procedures, preventing her from rehearsing and preparing for the shows as planned.
Parton expressed disappointment at not being able to perform for her fans as scheduled but assured them that she would be working on her projects from Nashville during her recovery. She emphasized her commitment to her fans and hinted at future endeavors once she is back to full health.
The singer shared that the postponed concerts would be rescheduled for September of the following year. Earlier in September, she had also missed an event at her Dollywood resort due to health issues, including a kidney stone causing an infection.
Dolly Parton lost her husband, Carl Thomas Dean, earlier in the year after almost 60 years of marriage. Despite the challenges she is facing, she remains grateful for the support of her fans and looks forward to returning to the stage for more performances in the future.
