Elon Musk Criticizes NASA Chief's Ability

NASA had planned to use SpaceX's Starship rocket system to land on the moon. However, the US is now accepting proposals from other companies to return astronauts to the moon before China.

Elon Musk criticized NASA's administrator, Sean Duffy, for considering moon landers from companies other than SpaceX. Musk accused Duffy of hindering NASA's progress and questioned his intelligence.

Despite SpaceX's contract for the Artemis III mission, the company has faced delays and technical challenges with the Starship rocket. NASA aims to return astronauts to the moon within Donald Trump's second term and beat China in the second space race.

Musk defended SpaceX's progress, stating that the company is moving quickly compared to others in the space industry. He expressed confidence that Starship will successfully complete the moon mission.

In response to Musk's criticism, Duffy emphasized the importance of competition and innovation in advancing space exploration. He welcomed the challenge and highlighted the ongoing race to the moon.

Duffy, currently the acting NASA administrator, is reportedly interested in retaining the position. Musk has previously endorsed billionaire Jared Isaacman for the top job, citing his experience in private space missions with SpaceX.
