Elon Musk unveils 'Grokipedia' as AI Wikipedia rival.

Elon Musk introduced "Grokipedia," an online encyclopedia created using AI-generated articles to compete with Wikipedia, which Musk and his supporters criticize as biased and "woke."

Musk announced the launch of "version 0.1" of Grokipedia on X, stating that even at this early stage, it surpasses Wikipedia, with plans for "Version 1.0" to be significantly improved.

Grokipedia currently features over 885,000 articles, in contrast to Wikipedia's 7 million, with all content generated and fact-checked by xAI's Grok, without human input like Wikipedia.

Users cannot edit articles on Grokipedia, but Musk mentioned that users can request modifications from Grok, which will either make the changes or provide reasons for not doing so.

Musk emphasized that Grok and Grokipedia aim for truthfulness, acknowledging imperfections but striving for accuracy. Some Grokipedia articles are noted to be adapted from Wikipedia under a Creative Commons license, with plans to address direct copying issues by the end of the year.
