England Fans Celebrate Lionesses' Euro 2025 Victory

Jubilant England fans celebrated across the country on Sunday night as the Lionesses retained their Euros title after a nail-biting penalty shootout win over Spain. Chloe Kelly scored the vital spot-kick following two incredible saves from goalkeeper Hannah Hampton, sending supporters in fan zones into frenzied celebrations.

Hundreds of fans gathered at Shoreditch Boxpark in East London to watch Leah Williamson’s side secure victory in the tournament's final against Spain. After going into overtime and then penalties, England clinched the trophy in a 3-1 shootout, leading to wild celebrations with people launching pints in the air and embracing.

Hours before the victory, Catherine Adamson, 58, shared her premonition with The Independent. She dreamt of the Lionesses winning 2-1, with Williamson scoring the winning goal. Although the score was accurate, it was Chloe Kelly who scored the decisive penalty shot.

The atmosphere at Boxpark was electric, with fans dressed in England's colors eagerly anticipating the match. Despite initial nervousness when Spain scored first, the crowd remained spirited, singing and dancing throughout the game. During the tense penalty shootout, Adamson admitted to being too nervous to watch, pacing the venue's hallway.

Jade Young, 34, and her son Ernie Johnson, 11, traveled from Cheshire to support the team. Johnson expressed pride in the players but confessed to feeling stressed during the penalties. Renée Addo, 22, echoed the sentiment of elation upon England's victory, praising the team's courage and strength.

Addo and her football team, along with other fans, reveled in the sense of community that women's football had brought them. At Brandon Groves Community Club in Essex, supporters cheered on star striker Michelle Agyemang, who played a crucial role in the Lionesses' success. Agyemang's former club celebrated her achievements with a conga line and cheers after the game.
