Everton Makes Progress on Deal for Bayern's Adam Aznou

Everton are in talks to sign Bayern Munich defender Adam Aznou, as reported by The Athletic's Transfer DealSheet on Tuesday.

Sources from Everton revealed that discussions are ongoing regarding a potential fee of around €9 million (£7.87 million, $10.6 million). Aznou is considered as a more attacking option for the left-back position, which currently has Vitalii Mykolenko as the only senior player following Ashley Young's departure.

Aznou, aged 19, joined Bayern's academy in 2022 from Barcelona and made his debut for the first team in November 2024. He has appeared in four games for Bayern, including a cameo in a 10-0 win over Auckland City at the Club World Cup in June. Aznou spent the latter part of the 2024-25 season on loan at Real Valladolid, playing 13 matches for the La Liga team that finished bottom of the league.

Having previously represented Spain at youth level, Aznou made his debut for Morocco in September 2024 and has earned six caps for his national team.

David Moyes, Everton's manager, has made several signings this summer, including Thierno Barry and Mark Travers, as well as securing Carlos Alcaraz permanently after his loan spell last season. The club has also extended the contracts of Jarrad Branthwaite and Idrissa Gueye.

Moyes mentioned at a Men in Blazers event in New York that Everton still requires "nine or 10 more" additions this summer, with a focus on strengthening the wing and central midfield positions.
