Ex-AFL player faces alarming charges for attacking ex-girlfriend.
Former Fremantle Dockers player Ryan Crowley is facing six new domestic violence charges, accused of attacking his ex-girlfriend severely. The 41-year-old appeared in Perth Magistrates Court over charges dating back to 2019 and 2020.
The charges include unlawful assault, threatening to kill, intention to harm, and deprivation of liberty. Five charges involve his ex-girlfriend, Lauren Dunn, a reality TV star from "Married at First Sight." The sixth charge is related to another woman.
This is the second time in two months that Crowley has appeared in court for domestic violence charges. In May, he faced nine charges involving Lauren Dunn.
Crowley was granted bail but was warned of a potential prison sentence if found guilty. The court heard that his relationship with Dunn was described as toxic and volatile. Crowley must comply with strict bail conditions, including surrendering his passport and staying away from Dunn.
Crowley's legal team stated he would plead not guilty to all charges. The court set a return date for November 11.
