F1 Star Mourns Dog Roscoe's Passing

Lewis Hamilton announced that his 12-year-old bulldog passed away on Sunday evening due to pneumonia.

Hamilton, a Formula 1 star, shared on Instagram that his dog Roscoe had been in a coma and passed away in his arms after a battle with pneumonia. Roscoe was diagnosed with pneumonia in April and had a second bout recently.

In a heartfelt post, Hamilton expressed his gratitude for the time he spent with Roscoe, calling him an angel and a true friend. Roscoe, who was adopted by Hamilton in 2013, was well-known in the F1 paddock and had a significant following on his own Instagram page.

Despite the pain of losing his beloved pet, Hamilton cherished the memories created with Roscoe and thanked his fans for their support over the years. Hamilton's other bulldog, Coco, passed away in 2020 at the age of six.

Hamilton had been concerned about Roscoe's health, especially during his travels for F1 races, and had hoped to bring him to upcoming races to lift his spirits. Despite missing a tyre test in Italy to be with Roscoe, Hamilton is expected to return to racing at the Singapore Grand Prix.
