Falcons Update: Drake London's Injury Status vs. Dolphins
The Atlanta Falcons have listed wide receiver Drake London as questionable for their Week 8 game against the Miami Dolphins. London was limited in practice on Friday due to a hip injury, raising doubts about his availability for the game.
The Falcons may be missing their starting quarterback and top wide receiver for Sunday's game. Michael Penix Jr., initially questionable for Week 8, is unlikely to play. Kirk Cousins is expected to start, as reported by ESPN.
Despite the Falcons indicating Penix would be a game-time decision, the promotion of practice squad quarterback Easton Stick suggests Penix will be inactive. Dylan Drummond was also elevated from the practice squad to add depth at wide receiver.
London's questionable status leaves open the possibility of him playing, but being added to the injury report on Saturday is concerning. Fantasy team managers relying on London should consider having a backup plan. The Week 8 inactives list will be released at 11:30 a.m. ET on Sunday.
London has tallied 38 catches for 469 yards and two touchdowns this season. Penix Jr. is also questionable, but Cousins is expected to start in Week 8. Cousins had a brief appearance in Week 3, completing five of seven passes for 29 yards against the Panthers.
The Falcons placed linebacker Divine Deablo on injured reserve and activated Jordan Fuller from the injured reserve list. Linebacker Ronnie Harrison was signed from the practice squad to fill the roster spot left by Ray-Ray McCloud's release earlier in the week.
The game will start at 1 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Sunday. The Falcons will wear their all-black uniforms, while the Dolphins will don white-and-aqua jerseys.
