The Senate Judiciary Committee, led by Chairman Chuck Grassley, released a 29-page classified file from former Special Counsel John Durham's 'Russiagate' investigation, known as the 'Durham annex.' The document alleges that the Obama administration and the Clinton campaign might have coordinated a plan to falsely connect Donald Trump to Russia.
The annex contains private communications between Clinton staff and employees at a George Soros nonprofit discussing a strategy to link Trump to Russia to divert attention from the Hillary email server scandal. Emails from the Soros organization, reportedly hacked by foreign entities, show that Hillary Clinton approved the plan to smear Trump with Russia ties. A March 2016 intelligence memo in the annex indicates that Clinton staff, with support from special services, planned to reveal questionable business connections between Trump and the 'Russian mafia.'
The report suggests possible coordination between Obama's intelligence officials and Clinton's campaign, implicating the FBI, CIA, or other intelligence agencies. Former President Donald Trump has accused former Obama officials of fabricating the 'Russia hoax' against him.
