First Glimpse at MTG: Avatar: The Last Airbender Revealed

The Magic: The Gathering universe is expanding with the addition of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Avatar Aang is making his debut in the game, featuring bending abilities, new mechanics, and special foil cards.

The expansion introduces bending mechanics like airbending, waterbending, earthbending, and firebending. Each bending ability has unique effects, such as creating tokens, tapping artifacts and creatures, turning lands into creatures, and adding mana during attacks.

Players can activate all bending abilities in a single turn to transform Avatar Aang into Aang, Master of Elements, with powerful abilities suitable for a Commander card.

The expansion includes various types of cards, such as borderless raised foil Avatar Aang, borderless battle pose cards, borderless double-sided saga cards, borderless field notes cards, and elemental frame cards, each adding a distinct visual and aesthetic appeal to the game.

New full art land cards are also part of the expansion, offering visually stunning additions to players' collections. The release dates to note are November 14th - 20th for prerelease events, November 18th for MTG Arena release, and the full launch of Magic: The Gathering: Avatar: The Last Airbender on November 21st, 2025.

Prices for the expansion are in line with previous releases, with play boosters and Jumpstarts at $6.99, collector boosters at $37.99, standard bundles at $69.99, and commander bundles at $109.99. A beginner box priced at $34.99 will also be available, offering a great entry point for Avatar: The Last Airbender fans into the Magic: The Gathering world. Preview cards for the expansion are already accessible for those eager to explore them before the official release date.
