Former MLB Player Shares Personal Story of Divorcing Halle Berry

Former baseball star David Justice recently discussed his past relationship with actress Halle Berry. The couple married in 1993 and divorced over four years later, with Berry filing for divorce in April 1996 citing "irreconcilable differences." Justice filed his own divorce papers two weeks later, and the divorce was finalized in June 1997.

During an appearance on the "All the Smoke" podcast, Justice reflected on the reasons for their split, mentioning his lack of experience in relationships prior to Berry. He highlighted differences in expectations regarding traditional gender roles and family dynamics as contributing factors.

In the mid to late 1990s, Berry was involved in various projects, including a contract with Revlon and roles in movies like "Boomerang," "Jungle Fever," and "The Last Boy Scout."

Justice, who earned All-Star nods in 1993 and 1994, expressed that therapy might have helped their relationship succeed. He later played for the Cleveland Indians in 1997 and was traded to the New York Yankees in 2000.

Berry's representatives were contacted for comment by Fox News Digital, but there was no response. Berry is currently in a relationship with musician Van Hunt, while Justice is married to businesswoman Rebecca Villalobos, with whom he has three children.
