From a Loan to Millions: Salon Owner's Success Story

Paige Williams, the founder of the beauty brand P. Louise, received financial help from her grandmother to open her own salon.

Ten years ago, Paige borrowed £20,000 from her grandmother to start a beauty salon without a business plan. Despite leaving school without qualifications and quitting her job at MAC, she pursued her dream of becoming a freelance makeup artist.

Today, P. Louise has grown into a popular brand with an estimated revenue of £138 million. Paige, who grew up in Greater Manchester, hopes her success inspires others, emphasizing that one's background does not determine their future.

Inspired by drag makeup, Paige developed a unique beauty style that resonated with a growing customer base. She sought financial support from her grandmother, who worked part-time as a cleaner, to open her salon in Prestwich.

Facing initial challenges, Paige remained determined to succeed. She started offering makeup classes and online courses to sustain her business. Her product development, including the popular Rumour Base eyeshadow base, further boosted her brand's success.

Paige's innovative use of platforms like TikTok significantly contributed to her brand's growth. In August 2024, she set a UK record by earning over £1.5 million in just 12 hours through her TikTok Shop. The brand has expanded to a 36,000sq ft warehouse in Stockport and will soon open a retail store in the Trafford Centre.

Paige's journey reflects her resilience and determination to overcome challenges. Her success story serves as an inspiration to her employees and followers, encouraging them to pursue their dreams regardless of obstacles.
