Fulham's Tosin Set to Depart Upon Contract End
Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo will depart the club when his contract ends this season. The 26-year-old center-back declined Fulham's latest offer and confirmed he will not be extending his stay.
Adarabioyo, a former Manchester City player, had rejected a new contract last season and received two bids from Monaco last summer. Despite Fulham's desire to keep him long-term, negotiations resumed this season. Adarabioyo, who attracted interest from clubs like West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur, has chosen to leave Fulham when his contract expires in June.
Adarabioyo came through the youth ranks at Manchester City and made eight first-team appearances before joining Fulham in 2020 for a fee of £1.5 million, potentially rising to £2 million with add-ons and a 20% sell-on clause. He has played 132 games for Fulham, helping them return to the Premier League after relegation in 2021.
Despite a groin injury last summer that required surgery, Adarabioyo has been a key player under coach Marco Silva, scoring two goals in 25 appearances this season. He recently scored the decisive penalty in Fulham's shootout win over Everton in the Carabao Cup quarter-final, securing the club's first-ever League Cup semi-final appearance.
Fulham's next match is against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park tomorrow.
