James Gunn’s DC series Peacemaker, featuring John Cena, concludes its second season this week on HBO and HBO Max.

Peacemaker is a spinoff series centered around Cena's character, Peacemaker (Christopher Smith), introduced in DC Studios' 2021 film "The Suicide Squad."

Since the release of Peacemaker Season 1, there have been changes in the leadership of DC Studios. In October 2022, James Gunn and Peter Safran were appointed co-CEOs of the Warner Bros. division. Their first film, "Superman," was released on July 11, and Peacemaker Season 2 continues to shape the DC Universe under their leadership.

The season finale of Peacemaker Season 2, Episode 8 titled "Full Nelson," will premiere on Thursday at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on HBO Max and HBO linear.

Gunn, who directed several episodes of Peacemaker Season 2, also directs the season finale.

In a recent episode of Peacemaker Season 2, the character discovers a portal in his late father's house leading to an alternate universe called Earth-2. There, he finds surprising revelations about his family and the world.

The episode also reveals shocking developments, including the group's encounter with a Nazi-ruled U.S. on Earth-2. The season finale promises to bring further twists and turns to the storyline.

The season finale of Peacemaker Season 2 will be available for streaming on HBO Max and will air on HBO linear on Thursday at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
