Hades 2 and Metroid Prime 4 Set to Launch Soon on Nintendo

Two highly anticipated games, Hades 2 and Metroid 4, have received release dates during a recent Nintendo Direct announcement. Hades 2, which has been in Early Access for some time, will be officially released on Thursday, September 25, on various platforms including the upcoming Switch 2. However, the physical release of Hades 2 is delayed until November 20.

Metroid Prime 4, a long-awaited game that has faced delays, now has a confirmed release date of December 4, 2025. The game, featuring new abilities for the character Samus as she explores a mysterious planet, was well-received during a showcase in March 2025.

Although Metroid Prime 4 is highly anticipated, it is not among Nintendo's top franchises in terms of sales. The entire Metroid series, consisting of 17 games, has sold 22 million copies. However, with the popularity of the Nintendo Switch, it is expected that Metroid Prime 4 will perform well. The game will be available for purchase on Switch 1.

Both Hades 2 and Metroid Prime 4 are potential contenders for Game of the Year awards in 2025, amidst competition from other titles like Blue Prince, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Death Stranding 2, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, Donkey Kong Bananza, and Silksong. The release of these two games is expected to add excitement to the gaming landscape in Fall 2025.
