Hayley Williams of Paramore Drops 17 Surprise Songs
Paramore singer Hayley Williams has released 17 new songs through her website. The 36-year-old has not confirmed if the music constitutes a new album. The songs are accessible only to individuals who have received a code from her Good Dye Young hair dye company.
The new songs feature titles like “True Believer,” “Mirtazapine,” “Hard,” “Negative Self Talk,” “True Believer,” “Discovery Channel,” and “Zissou.” Additionally, there is a “Misc” folder on the link containing a live video from Phoenix in 2017, an image of a lyric book, and a t-shirt with the phrase “Hayley Williams is my favorite band.”
Williams, who previously released two solo albums, Petals for Armor in 2020 and Flowers for Vases/ Descansos in 2021, co-founded Good Dye Young in 2016 with her longtime hairstylist and makeup artist, Brian O'Connor. The Independent has reached out to Williams’s representatives for a comment.
After releasing her solo albums, Williams reunited with her Paramore bandmates for the 2023 album This Is Why. During the promotion of the record, Williams criticized Donald Trump and Project 2025 at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, urging fans to oppose Trump's agenda through voting.
Williams has a history of speaking out on political issues. She previously made controversial statements about Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis during a music festival performance in Atlantic City, New Jersey. In a review of This Is Why, The Independent's chief albums critic praised the record as "a heartfelt outburst of 21st-century angst."
