IATSE Union Protests AEW Dynamite for Wages

AEW has started its seven-show run in Philadelphia at the 2300 Arena amidst union protests regarding wages.

IATSE Local 8 members are contesting the promotion's pay and benefits, stating that AEW and the 2300 Arena have not signed a collective bargaining agreement with any IATSE Local for their Philadelphia productions, making it a non-union production.

IATSE, the largest union representing entertainment industry workers in Philadelphia with over 800 members, has accused AEW of underpaying non-union stagehands during their residency at the 2300 Arena from August 27, 2025, to September 11, 2025. The union has sent 75 letters via the Action Network and posted videos on Facebook urging fair wages for workers.

IATSE Local 8 is investigating the payment, benefits, and working conditions of employees at the event, claiming that AEW is not meeting area standards in wages, benefits, and working conditions. Stagehands at the picket line expressed concerns about the situation and urged AEW and the 2300 Arena to address the issue.

AEW has not provided a response to the allegations.
