Arsenal has agreed to sign Noni Madueke from Chelsea for £52m. The England winger has agreed to a five-year deal and is set to move to the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal is also pursuing Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze to strengthen their flanks.

Madueke, 23, is seen as cover for Bukayo Saka on the right and an option for Mikel Arteta on the left. He decided to leave Chelsea due to limited playing opportunities, with the club adding several attackers this summer. Chelsea aims to boost its finances by selling Madueke, who was signed from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023.

Chelsea faces financial fair play penalties and needs to increase revenue through player sales. The club believes Madueke has not developed enough and is unlikely to play in the upcoming final against Paris Saint-Germain.
