Man U fans target Garnacho with brutal chant; Diallo clears Instagram.
Alejandro Garnacho faced a hostile reception upon his return to Manchester United on Saturday. The 21-year-old had recently moved to Chelsea for £40 million after experiencing a strained relationship with United's manager, Ruben Amorim. Garnacho had been sidelined by Amorim and was part of the club's 'Bomb Squad' over the summer before transferring to Chelsea. Despite playing twice for Chelsea, he was not used in their 2-1 loss to United.
During the match, Garnacho was subjected to derogatory chants and booing from United fans. The fans sang disparaging songs about him, reminiscent of chants aimed at Carlos Tevez when he switched from United to Manchester City in 2009. After the game, Garnacho was seen on the field with his former teammates, engaging in conversations with some players before walking off the pitch in the rain.
In a surprising turn of events, Garnacho later appeared on Amad Diallo's Instagram story, where they exchanged shirts and appeared cheerful. However, Diallo deleted the post along with all his other posts on the platform. Garnacho, who scored 26 goals in 144 games for United, had a controversial disciplinary record during his time at the club, leading to conflicts with Amorim.
Following the match, Garnacho expressed dissatisfaction with the past season and hinted at uncertainties about his future. Amorim reportedly confronted Garnacho in front of the United squad, warning him to find a new club. United's victory on Saturday was significant after a challenging start to the season, with their next match scheduled against Brentford on Saturday.
