Man United hit by Matheus Cunha injury, Sesko snubbed
Manchester United star Matheus Cunha was substituted due to injury during the first half of the match against Burnley at Old Trafford. Cunha, who recently moved from Wolves to United, was replaced by Joshua Zirkzee in the 31st minute, rather than Benjamin Sesko. Sesko, who joined United from RB Leipzig, had a challenging start to his career at the club.
United took the lead in the 27th minute with an own goal from Josh Cullen. Cunha's injury forced the substitution, despite Sesko's recent penalty kick during a shootout defeat against Grimsby in the Carabao Cup. Sesko had hesitated to take the penalty and was the last player to step up, receiving some criticism for his delay.
