Manchester United Star Refuses to Sign Shirt Numbers, Divides Fans

Manchester United's Diogo Dalot declined to sign shirt numbers for fans outside Old Trafford during a pre-season friendly against Fiorentina. While some supporters supported his decision, others criticized him for not signing the numbers, which are often resold for profit. Dalot, who has been at United since 2018, recently changed his squad number to No 2.

A similar incident occurred with Manchester City players Phil Foden and Josko Gvardiol, who also refused to sign autographs for fans. Foden, sitting in his car with his child at a red light, ignored pleas from supporters to sign merchandise. Gvardiol was also approached by fans with a jersey and pen, but he did not roll down the window to sign.

In a separate incident, NFL star Aaron Rodgers refused to sign an autograph for a fan at a golf tournament, suspecting the fan was an "autograph hound." Rodgers questioned the fan's authenticity, leading to a tense exchange where Rodgers declined to sign the item.

Music legend Bruce Springsteen also declined to sign autographs for fans waiting in the rain outside his hotel in Manchester. Despite fans' pleas, Springsteen refused to sign anything, expressing frustration at being chased around town by fans seeking autographs.

These incidents highlight the complexities surrounding autograph signings by celebrities and athletes, with some choosing to decline signing items for various reasons.
