Man Utd's Marcus Rashford to Resume Training Monday
Aston Villa had an option to sign Marcus Rashford permanently for £40m
Marcus Rashford will join Manchester United for pre-season training on Monday after spending the second half of the season on loan at Aston Villa.
The 27-year-old forward, valued at £40m by United, was not subject to any bids during his loan spell.
In December, manager Ruben Amorim exiled Rashford, citing issues with his playing style and training approach. It was indicated in February that Rashford was unlikely to feature under Amorim in the future.
Rashford expressed interest in playing alongside Lamine Yamal at Barcelona in a statement last month.
United's pre-season training begins on Monday, with Rashford expected to return without any issues. The team's first friendly match is against Leeds on 19 July in Stockholm, followed by the Premier League Summer Series friendlies in the US.
During his time at United, Rashford has scored 138 goals in 426 senior games. His loan spell at Villa saw him make 17 appearances, scoring four goals and providing six assists.
