Matthew Stafford's wife shares worrisome mental health news.
Kelly Stafford, the wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, has announced her decision to step away from her podcast to prioritize her mental health.
In the recent episode of 'The Morning After' podcast, Kelly, 36, shared that she would be taking a break for about a month. She expressed her struggle with the direction of the podcast and the time commitment it required, mentioning her family as her top priority.
Kelly stated, "I started this podcast to build a community that embraces failure and supports each other. However, due to personal mental health reasons and changes in the podcast, I feel the need to step back and reevaluate."
Her husband, Matthew Stafford, was unaware of her decision, which she emphasized was necessary for her well-being and for those around her. She expressed gratitude for the support and understanding she received from her audience.
This move comes shortly after Kelly's co-host, Hank Winchester, returned to the podcast following allegations of unwanted advances during a massage. Winchester, an Emmy-winning TV reporter, addressed the accusations and the investigation that cleared him.
He mentioned the importance of investigating both sides of such allegations and the impact of media coverage on the situation. Winchester did not disclose the specific news station that reported on the allegations.
Following the allegations, Winchester was placed on administrative leave by Detroit's NBC affiliate Local 4 News (WDIV). It remains unclear if he has since returned from this leave. Reports indicated that Winchester had been studying massage therapy, but it is uncertain whether he was providing or receiving a massage during the alleged incident.
