Michael Madsen, Star of Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill, Passes Away at 67

Prolific actor Michael Madsen, known for his roles in Quentin Tarantino movies, passed away at the age of 67 from cardiac arrest on Thursday morning.

Madsen, with a career spanning over 40 years, was found unresponsive at his Malibu home by authorities. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His manager, Ron Smith, mentioned that Madsen had been actively involved in independent film projects recently and was looking forward to upcoming works like Resurrection Road, Concessions, Cookbook for Southern Housewives, and a new book titled Tears For My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems.

Born on September 25, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, Madsen came from a family involved in the entertainment industry. He had over 70 film and TV credits, with his breakthrough role in Reservoir Dogs, directed by Quentin Tarantino.

Madsen's collaboration with Tarantino continued in cult classics like Kill Bill: Volumes 1 and 2, The Hateful Eight, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, where he often portrayed villains and anti-heroes.

In addition to his acting career, Madsen faced personal tragedies, including the loss of his son, Hudson, in 2022, and his divorce from DeAnna Madsen in 2024, citing issues that contributed to their son's death.

Madsen is survived by his sons Calvin and Luke from his marriage to DeAnna, as well as sons Christian and Max from a previous marriage.
