Microsoft to Retire Internet Explorer

Cookies are small pieces of data stored by websites on your device. They can remember login details, site preferences, and track user behavior. If needed, you may want to delete cookies for privacy or to fix browsing problems.

Here are steps to:

  • Allow cookies from a specific website
  • Block cookies from a specific site
  • Delete cookies from a specific site
  • Delete cookies each time you close the browser
  • Use cookies to preload pages for faster browsing

To allow cookies, open the Edge browser, click on Settings, then Cookies and site permissions. Manage and delete cookies and site data, then see all cookies and site data.

Enabling cookies lets websites save and retrieve data on your browser, improving your browsing experience by remembering preferences and login information.

To block cookies, follow the same steps but choose to block third-party cookies. Blocking cookies may affect how some pages display or prompt you to allow cookies for viewing.

To block cookies from a specific site, navigate to the Block section and add the site's URL.

To delete cookies, go to Clear browsing data in Settings, select what to clear, including cookies, and clear them. Alternatively, press CTRL + SHIFT + DELETE and follow the steps.

To delete cookies for a specific site, search for the site's cookies and delete them individually.

To delete cookies every time you close the browser, turn on the Cookies and other site data toggle in Clear browsing data settings.

To preload pages for faster browsing, enable the Preload pages for faster browsing and searching toggle in Cookies and site permissions.
