Mötley Crüe's Vince Neil paralyzed after severe stroke
Vince Neil, the frontman of Mötley Crüe, recently revealed details about a serious health issue that affected the band. Last Christmas, Neil suffered a severe stroke that left his left side paralyzed. Doctors initially doubted his ability to walk again.
Neil shared that he went to bed feeling fine on Christmas night but woke up unable to get out of bed the next morning. He had to relearn how to walk, a challenging process. Despite doctors' skepticism about his return to the stage, Neil remained determined to perform again.
As a result of his health scare, Mötley Crüe postponed the beginning of their Las Vegas residency to allow Neil time to recover. The band later rescheduled their shows to this fall due to a necessary medical procedure advised by Neil's doctors.
During his recovery, Neil focused on physical therapy, starting from being unable to walk to regaining his mobility. He described the process as a full-time job to regain his strength and coordination. Despite the difficulties, Neil is now at around 90-95% of his previous condition and is optimistic about his progress.
In August, Neil made his return to the stage in Boston alongside Bret Michaels. Recently, Mötley Crüe resumed their Las Vegas residency, performing hits like "Dr. Feelgood," "Kickstart My Heart," and "Girls, Girls, Girls." Neil expressed his commitment to delivering an extensive setlist that includes fan-favorite songs.
The band's performance aims to encapsulate the essence of the Mötley Crüe lifestyle, with Neil emphasizing his determination to give his best during the shows. Despite the challenges he faced, Neil is grateful for his recovery and the opportunity to continue performing with the band.
