Next episode of 'Peacemaker' Season 2 release details

John Cena's character, Chris Smith, transitions to a parallel universe in the latest episode of "Peacemaker," driven by a poignant betrayal. In this alternate reality, Smith finds a perfect life with his brother alive, a romance with Emilia Harcourt, and all the fame he desires. Despite leaving his friends behind, they are determined to bring him back, led by Adebayo, Adrian, Harcourt, and Economos.

"Peacemaker," a spinoff from James Gunn's 2021 film "The Suicide Squad," follows the adventures of a man named Peacemaker, who believes in achieving peace at any cost, even if it means resorting to violence. John Cena, who plays Peacemaker, described his character as going through a challenging phase and seeking a better life.

All eight episodes of "Peacemaker" Season 2 were written by James Gunn, who also directed three episodes. The show is the first original DC series to debut on HBO Max. The next episode of Season 2 is set to air on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

The second season of "Peacemaker" premiered on Thursday, Aug. 21, with the finale scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 9. Season 1 is also available for streaming on HBO Max.
