Chargers Receiver Hospitalized After Helmet-to-Helmet Hit

Chargers receiver Quentin Johnston was hospitalized on Saturday night following a severe helmet-to-helmet hit during a game. The incident occurred in the first quarter when Rams' player Tanner Ingle collided with Johnston, causing him to lose consciousness.

Johnston not only hit his head on the ground but also displayed signs of a concussion by briefly raising his arms while lying down. Despite initial immobility, he later regained movement and was able to walk to the cart that transported him off the field.

Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed that Johnston had suffered a concussion and was taken to the hospital as a precaution. Unfortunately, Johnston did not return to the game, which the Chargers narrowly lost 23-22 to the Rams.

Johnston, a key player for the Chargers, has had a successful career since being drafted in 2023. With 93 career receptions for 1,142 yards and 10 touchdowns in 32 regular-season games, his absence was felt during the game against the Rams.
