Ollie Locke, Husband Welcome Twins via Surrogate; Babies in Intensive Care
Made In Chelsea star Ollie Locke and his husband Gareth are now parents to twins, a son, and a daughter, born via surrogate. The couple shared the news on Instagram, revealing the twins, Apollo Magnus Obi and Cosima Emily Bex, were born six weeks ago. The babies spent time in a neonatal intensive care unit before coming home.
In a YouTube video, Ollie and Gareth expressed gratitude to the neonatal unit staff for their care. They also announced a partnership with Johnson's Baby UK to document their journey to parenthood on their YouTube channel, Daddy Diaries. Friends and family, including Olivia Bentley, congratulated the couple on the arrival of the twins.
Their surrogate, Rebecca Ward, gave birth via a planned cesarean at 36 weeks, a common practice for twins. Ollie and Gareth had shared updates on the pregnancy on social media, expressing their excitement and love for their unborn children.
The couple had faced challenges on their path to parenthood, including a previous miscarriage. After the loss, they announced the pregnancy with twins, sharing their joy and gratitude for their surrogate. Ollie recently left the show "Made In Chelsea" after 12 years to focus on their new YouTube series documenting their journey to becoming parents.
Ollie and Gareth, who joined "Made In Chelsea" in 2018, felt they had outgrown the show and wanted more control over their content. They emphasized that their new show would provide a more authentic look into their lives as they navigate parenthood. The couple expressed excitement for this new chapter and the opportunity to share their experiences with their audience.
