Peanuts Gang Returns in Apple TV Plus Summer Musical

Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Sally, and other Peanuts characters star in a new musical special called Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical, the first original Peanuts musical in over 35 years.

Apple TV Plus premiered the 40-minute cartoon on August 15. The special focuses on the joy of summer camp and the importance of cherishing what you love. The storyline follows Charlie Brown and friends as they discover a treasure map leading them into the wilderness, featuring plenty of songs.

The last Peanuts musical episode was Snoopy: The Musical, broadcast on CBS in 1988. Apple has taken on the Peanuts franchise, known for classics like A Charlie Brown Christmas and It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!. The company has pledged to create more new Peanuts animated projects, following the success of Snoopy in Space, one of the first shows on Apple TV Plus in 2019.
