PFA Watches Chelsea's Handling of Players

Chelsea Working with PFA on Treatment of Disasi and Sterling

Chelsea is collaborating with the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) regarding the situation of Axel Disasi and Raheem Sterling. The two players, signed for a total of £85 million, have been excluded from manager Enzo Maresca's squad after failing to secure transfers this summer. Sterling declined offers from Napoli and Bayern Munich, preferring to stay in London. Disasi also rejected moves from Bournemouth and West Ham in favor of returning to Monaco, but no agreement was reached.

Both players are currently training separately from the team at Stamford Bridge. Maresca confirmed that they have no path back into the squad. Chelsea and the PFA are ensuring that Disasi and Sterling can train adequately at the club's Cobham training ground. They have been provided with coaches to facilitate potential moves in January, as their future at Chelsea seems uncertain.

Maresca stated in a recent press conference that the players are training apart and there is no plan for them to rejoin the team. Despite a positive start to the season, Chelsea suffered their first defeat against Bayern Munich. Maresca acknowledged the need to learn from the loss and emphasized the importance of consistent performance throughout the game. Chelsea will face Manchester United next.
