Premier League Club Seeks Loan Deal for Chelsea Forward Valued Over £60m
Aston Villa is considering a loan deal with an option to buy Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson, who is valued at over £60 million. Jackson, 23, previously worked with Unai Emery at Villarreal.
Jackson joined Chelsea from Villarreal in 2023 and scored 17 goals in his debut Premier League season. Despite being the top scorer for Chelsea, his form was inconsistent, leading to criticism for his lack of efficiency in front of goal.
Chelsea has acquired Joao Pedro from Brighton for up to £60 million and Liam Delap from Ipswich Town for around £30 million. These signings provide Chelsea with new options upfront, pushing Jackson down the pecking order.
Meanwhile, RB Leipzig is in talks with Chelsea for Christopher Nkunku, possibly involving Xavi Simons in the deal. Nkunku, who struggled with injuries in his first season at Chelsea, has found it challenging to secure a regular starting position.
Chelsea rejected a loan offer for Nkunku from Bayern Munich as both the club and the player prefer a permanent transfer. Additionally, Chelsea defender Renato Veiga, 22, has agreed to personal terms with Villarreal, but the clubs are yet to settle on a fee, with Chelsea seeking around £34 million.
Leander Dendoncker has left Aston Villa to join Real Oviedo, while Leon Bailey is on the verge of completing a loan move to Roma after traveling to Italy.
