'Produce 101 Japan' Auditions at KCON LA This Weekend

Produce 101 Japan is set to hold auditions for its idol survival program, Produce 101 Japan – SHINSEKAI (New World) at KCON LA. The show has launched successful J-pop groups like JO1, INI, and ME:I. This marks the first time the auditions are open globally, with international broadcasts and fan voting.

Exclusive auditions will take place at KCON LA this weekend, offering American youth a chance to join the program. Male participants aged 15 or older as of February 1, 2026, from any nationality can audition. Travel availability is required, and minors need parental consent.

Winners will secure a contract with LAPONE Entertainment for activities in Japan, global promotions, appearances on music programs in Japan and Korea, and a planned global debut in 2026.

Participants can pre-register online or walk in for auditions at the venue. Auditions will involve a 1-minute performance (vocal, dance, rap), and a short interview.

The new season of Produce 101 Japan is expected to film and air in the first half of 2026.
