Pulisic Advises Gimenez on Goal Drought
Christian Pulisic has been advising Santiago Giménez to stay patient during his goal drought, which ended on Tuesday in AC Milan's 3-0 victory over Lecce in the Coppa Italia.
Giménez had a tough start to the season, failing to score in Milan's first five matches despite having several chances. However, he broke his drought by scoring in the 20th minute against Lecce, converting a cross from Davide Bartesaghi from close range to open the scoring.
Milan went on to comfortably defeat 10-man Lecce, with Christopher Nkunku and Pulisic also scoring in the second half. Pulisic's goal marked his fifth of the season, showing strong form at the beginning of the new campaign.
After the match, Pulisic mentioned that he has been encouraging Giménez to stay focused and assured him that goals would come with continued opportunities.
Giménez expressed confidence in scoring more goals in the future, emphasizing the importance of breaking his goal drought and his commitment to Milan, the team he has supported since childhood.
Milan faces a significant match against reigning champion Napoli on Sunday, with Napoli currently leading the table with four wins in four matches. Pulisic highlighted the importance of the upcoming match and expressed optimism about Milan's prospects if they maintain their current level of performance.
